Relief From Neuropathy & Radiculopathy

Radiating nerve pain may be defined as neuropathy or radiculopathy. Importantly, although these conditions may have similar symptoms; diagnosis & treatment are different.

Neuropathy is defined as damage, disease or dysfunction of one or more nerves that are typically burning or shooting pain, numbness, tingling or muscle weakness or atrophy. Causes are often degenerative, caused by injury, infection, disease, drugs, toxins or vitamin deficiency damage or compression of a nerve located outside of the spinal column.

Radiculopathy is due to compression of a spinal nerve root. Commonly, the nerve compression is related to a disc herniation or degenerative changes in the spine & may occur with or without trauma.

The pain caused by radiculopathy may be burning or sharp & traveling to other parts of the body connected to the damaged nerve. Symptoms may include, tingling or numbness, weakness, decreased ability to move limb, sensation loss or pain.

Proper treatment requires an accurate diagnosis. This is extremely important because definitive treatment is very specific to the condition.

At Triangle Spinal Decompression, you’ll receive a thorough evaluation & correct diagnosis. Based on your results, we’ll recommend appropriate treatment, even if it requires referring you to another specialist.
