Consider Spinal Decompression Before Back Surgery!

Updated: May 17, 2023

A study showed the success rate of Spinal Decompression for low back pain varied from 53% for patients with extruded herniated discs to 73% for patients with a single herniated disc. It was 72% for people with multiple herniated discs & 68% for facet syndrome. Spinal Decompression is a primary treatment modality for low back pain associated with disc herniation at 1 or more levels, degenerative disc disease, facet arthropathy & decreased spine mobility. We believe that post-surgical patients with persistent pain or "Failed Back Syndrome' should NOT consider further surgery until a reasonable trial of Spinal Decompression has been tried. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/9583577/ #spinaldecompression #backpain #herniateddisc #sciatica
